We're excited to announce that we're founding an executive board for Tidewater Ultimate, and are planning to hold elections in the coming weeks. Right now our goal for the position would be to assist with determining league rules, policies, and disciplinary action-while in the past we've leaned on the captains to fill that role, we're looking for more continuity in that role, as well as avoiding putting league captains in the position for determining policy for future leagues they may not be involved with.

Right now we'd be looking to have up to three members of the board, each serving for a year. Anyone who has played in league within the last calendar year would be eligible to vote. Any candidate who exceeds 50% of the votes would be elected-in the event there are more than three who meet this criteria, the three highest vote getters will be chosen. For the role, we are primarily looking for individuals who are engaged with the community, who play with high levels of spirit of the game, and have ideas as to how to grow the community. If the person needs to leave before the end of their term, they are to find their replacement to fulfill their role until the next election season. Anyone who is elected will receive a half off discount to their league fees for the duration of their term.
